Job Overview

The VMC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating VMC machines to manufacture precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of ?15,000 to ?30,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Set up and operate VMC machines to produce components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand machining requirements.
• Perform quality checks on finished products using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals while maintaining safety standards.
• Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues to management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
• 1 to 10 years of experience as a VMC Operator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and VMC operation.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in machining or a related field.
• Experience with CNC programming.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
